Earlier this year the GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne celebrated his 40th year and helped raise funds for the GSPCA instead of cards and gifts.

Steve at the time decided that he had put on a little weight in recent years so made the decision to get fit and run the Guernsey Dairy Milk Run Half Marathon.

Since making the decision he is now 4 stone lighter and well into his training for the event which will take place on Fathers Day Sunday 16th June.

Steve is raising funds which he will split between the GSPCA and the chosen charities of Mariners’ Lodge No 168.

With over 3000 animals through the doors at the GSPCA and Mariners’ Freemason Lodge No 168 helping many great local good causes Steve hopes you will help donate towards his goal of undertaking this challenge in June.

“Since February I’ve been training every day and lost just over 4 stone and feeling much fitter than I did a few months ago.”

“I’ll be running the Guernsey Dairy Milk Run Half Marathon in aid of the GSPCA where we help thousands of animals and many of the Guernsey community every year and the chosen charities of Mariners’ Lodge No 168 who support many local charities each year.”
