The GSPCA recently mentioned we had a new arrival of a lovely little French Bulldog called Bow.

She is a lovely little lady and we mentioned she has a number of health issues needing investigating the main concern being her extremely red and sore skin.

To donate to Bow, her care and the work of the GSPCA please visit https://giving.gg/donate/event/9702/Please-donate-to-Bow-the-French-Bulldogs-care-and-work-of-the-GSPCA

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “There are many reasons dogs come into our care and we have recently seen an increase in those needing veterinary care.”

“Bow is a lovely French Bulldog who was recently signed over to us with a number of health concerns.”

“The main concern was her skin as it was so red and sore and we didn’t know at the time the reason so we kept her in a special area of the Shelter at the GSPCA and were waiting a number of tests while she has started on a number of medications.”

“We now know her main challenge is allergies which many dogs can suffer from.”

“With her treatments and an appropriate diet we are delighted to announce she is responding extremely well and looks so much better and happier in herself and we are so thankful to all that have donated towards her care and our work.”

“Sadly she will need ongoing treatment and care for the rest of her life.”

“You can still donate to her care and the many others at the GSPCA please visit https://shorturl.at/3vRoq .”

“We will of course keep everyone up to date with her story on how she continues to improve and for anyone interested in taking on a dog like Bow with health issues please do complete our online application forms so we have you on file.”

“Zimba the other French Bulldog under vet care at the GSPCA is also responding well to treatment and like Bow despite all their health problems extremely loving and sweet.”

“From adopting a dog to sponsoring those in our care through our Angel scheme via this leaflet http://www.gspca.org.gg/sites/default/files/Angel%20sponsor%20form%20special%202018%20new.pdf there are many ways to help our welfare work.”

“We are currently trying to build new Welfare and Isolation as part of our BIG BUILD.”.”
