Georgia Winstanley, Amber Guillemet, Chloe Spruce and Amelia Potter all 13 years from St Sampsons High School this year teamed up together earlier this year to create their company E-Cozy.
With help from their Business Mentor Steve Ozanne and School Mentor Victoria Wallace they decided for their Student Business Challenge that their aims and objectives were:
With this in mind E-Cozy have been selling products scented with herbs and rose petals to create a welcoming fragrance.
The products included:
The E-Cozy team decided that a percentage of the sales would go to their chosen charities Cancer Research and GSPCA as they are all animal lovers, with Cancer research they thought that it would be helpful donating some of their profit towards people with cancer to help them.
Recently the E-Cozy team popped in to see GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne with the wonderful donation from the profits raised.
Their team arrived with an amazing donation of £72 as part of the profits raised from the sales of their products and the GSPCA would like to say a huge thanks to Amber, Georgia, Amelia and Chloe.
We asked the E-Cozy team a few questions about their pets and favourite animal.
Amber Guillemet said “I have a black Labrador named Marley and 4 rabbits called Lucky, Ginger, Ronaldo and Bugsy and my favourite animal is a horse.”
Georgia Winstanley said “I have a parsons Jack Russell terrier called Nelson and my favourite animal is a hedgehog.”
Amelia Potter said “I have a cat named Willow and my favourite animal is a dolphin.”
Chloe Spruce said “I have two cats named Timmy and Tocken and my favourite animal is a panda.”
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “It was fantastic to see and chat to the E-Cozy team who did an amazing job with the sale of their products and we are all so thankful for the amazing donation of £72.”
“It is great to see young students do so well in the Young Business Challenge and at the same time helping the GSPCA and Cancer Research.”
