Stray budgie found on Collings Road now at the GSPCA

Yesterday a stray yellow and white female budgie was found on Collings Road and is now at the GSPCA.

Each year we help dozens of stray pet parakeets, parrots and finches at the GSPCA.

We now have two stray budgies in our care as just over a week ago a blue stray budgie was found on Ruette De Saumarez.

Sadly we rarely find the owners of the smaller birds and we are currently appealing for any information if you know of anyone that has lost a stray budgie.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Both Percy who was found yesterday and Blu the stay budgies in our care are doing well and we are appealing at the GSPCA for information if you know anyone missing a bird."

"With the weather getting colder and wetter stray birds like these budgies are lucky to be found as they would struggle in the wild if they weren't caught."
