With only two days to go to the GSPCA Summer Fayre and Fun Dog Show we are pleased to announce that our BBQ on the day will have welfare friendly produce.
The burgers, bacon and sausages on sale are from Perelle Butchers who are providing the food for the BBQ.
The RSPCA’s Freedom Food scheme is the charity dedicated to farm animal welfare and it has launched a new website where you can find all the latest news and information.
When you see the Freedom Food label you know that animals have been kept to strict RSPCA welfare standards. The standards cover the whole of an animals’ life, not just their time on farm. A stimulating environment and plenty of room to move around are just two of the many benefits. Freedom Food can also be an affordable ethical choice, as they approve indoor as well as free range and organic farms. So, make one small change to your shopping and one big change to farm animal welfare. Find out where to buy Freedom Food and get recipe ideas now. We are pleased to announce two fantastic announcements regarding our Dog Show and Summer Fayre on Sunday 1st of June.
Judging the Fun Dog Show is Carl Ward radio presenter from Island FM and proud owner of Lenny the dog.
From the 1st June is National Microchip Month and as part of the celebrations any dog owner on the day that would like their dog microchipped we will do this for free (although donations are very much appreciated).
It would be best if you would like the microchipping done to do so after the Fun Dog Show has been judged if you are entering your pet.
For those that already have their dog microchipped GSPCA team members will be on hand to scan your pet and check that the details are up to date, again free of charge and can instruct you what to do if there are any items that need adding or changing.
All happening at Fairfields in Castel the event is sponsored by the Property Link and we have a team of volunteers from Barclays helping on the day, as well as GSPCA staff and volunteers.
There will be plenty of parking for a donation in the field next to the show ground where marshals will be on hand.
