The GSPCA would like to thank everyone that turned out for the Reservoir Sponsored Dog Walk yesterday with Sidney's Events.
Nearly 30 dogs and walkers arrived at Rue des Anvilles car park to walk the 3 miles of pathes around the Reservoir.
Some in fancy dress and all with smiles, the group of walkers with tiny dogs like Jack Russels and Pugs to German Shepherds and Red Setters all had a lovely walk, with beautiful scenery, enjoying each others company whilst raising funds to help animals in Guernsey.
The GSPCA is currently inundated with animals in need of new homes.
If anyone is looking for a new pet then many of them can be seen on our website www.gspca.org.gg/animals and we are open for viewing for those interested in adopting 11am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
Every day the GSPCA faces challenges and to keep up with the many demands we are always looking at ways in which we can ensure we can look after the 200 to 300 animals in our care.
We never know quite what we will need to rescue or care for and that means at the Shelter we are always looking for support and equipment.
Today Nouska popped along to the vets for a check up and although we don't have the results of what the lump was yet the vet is pleased with how the operation scar is healing.
Nouska is doing well in himself and we are extremely grateful to everyone that has donated to his appeal.
If you would like to donate to Nouska the Husky's operation and the other animals in need please call 01481 257261, pop into the Shelter in St Andrews or click on the Paypal link below and reference 'Nouska's Appeal'

Every day the GSPCA have visitors in all sorts of shapes and sizes but the team had an extra big surprise when after lunch a local herd of cattle popped through the hedge into the Shelter grounds.
Fortunately, the team care for, rescue and work with all kinds of animals and after a quick radio the team worked together to ensure they made their way back home with their owner.
Anna Carre Senior Animal Care Assistant said 'Well what an unusual afternoon we've had today.'
