As part of the celebrations we have held a range of events and next month we hold additional Dog and Cat First Aid Courses.
For over a decade we have been running dog and cat first aid courses which help teach owners and pet lovers how to save the life of their pet or animal.
On the 14th February this month the GSPCA was officially founded 150 years ago.

Last night the GSPCA are held the last Cat First Aid Course of 2022.
GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who has over 25 years working in the field of animal rescue runs the training and with over 3000 animals through the doors every year at the GSPCA the team see cases of animal first aid on a daily basis here in Guernsey.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “In May we held our first Dog First Aid Course of 2022 and we had a full house of 19 and on Wednesday the week before last we trained a further 21 islanders.”
On Wednesday the GSPCA held its second Dog First Aid Course of 2022.
It was so well attended we had to hold the training in the large training room we have at the GSPCA.

On Wednesday 30th March the GSPCA will held the first Cat First Aid Course of 2022.

On Wednesday the GSPCA will be holding their first Cat First Aid Course of 2022.

Sadly todays Dog First Aid Course has been postponed until 11th May, although the Cat First Aid is still planned for the 30th March.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have been running dog and cat first aid courses for over seven years and with the 20 attendees last night we have trained over 320 participants to help save animals lives.”
On Wednesday 18th March we hold our first dog first aid course of 2020 at the GSPCA with a focus on helping save your dogs life.
Taking the course will be GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who has over 23 years working in the field of animal rescue and with over 3000 animals through the doors every year at the GSPCA the team see cases of animal first aid on a daily basis here in Guernsey.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have been running dog and cat first aid courses for over five years and have trained over 250 participants to help save animals lives.”
Last night we held the final animal first aid course of 2019 at the GSPCA.
The theme was Dog First Aid and the room was packed with 22 keen dog owners and interested individuals who spent the evening with GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who has over 22 years working in the field of animal rescue and with over 3000 animals through the doors every year at the GSPCA the team see cases of animal first aid on a daily basis here in Guernsey.
