Yesterday the GSPCA were called out to four baby Ferrets that were spotted in the middle of the road at Camp du Roi.
The Ferrets after being rescued are now safe and sound at the GSPCA in St Andrews.
Kiperling, Nancy, Albert and Wendy are having to be part hand fed by Shelter staff and volunteers due to their young age of only 5 to 6 weeks.
The GSPCA has seen a huge increase in Ferrets this year and we have already had a number of stray youngsters through 2013.
The GSPCA would like to thank everyone that turned out for the Reservoir Sponsored Dog Walk yesterday with Sidney's Events.
Nearly 30 dogs and walkers arrived at Rue des Anvilles car park to walk the 3 miles of pathes around the Reservoir.
Some in fancy dress and all with smiles, the group of walkers with tiny dogs like Jack Russels and Pugs to German Shepherds and Red Setters all had a lovely walk, with beautiful scenery, enjoying each others company whilst raising funds to help animals in Guernsey.
The GSPCA is currently inundated with animals in need of new homes.
If anyone is looking for a new pet then many of them can be seen on our website www.gspca.org.gg/animals and we are open for viewing for those interested in adopting 11am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
With only days until Sunday 22nd September and the Reservoir Dogs Sponsored Dog Walk have you got your shades at the ready?
Fear not the first 10 walkers to arrive will get a free pair of sunglasses which have been donated.
Meeting in Reservoir Rue Des Annevilles Car Park at 10am and finishing in Reservoir Rue A L’Or Car Park the walk around the Reservoir will have a Reservoir theme and we'd love to see you and your dog(s) all kitted out to make for a fun Sunday morning.

Last year the GSPCA were nominated for the 'Charity of the Year Award' at the Community Awards and we would like to ask you if you would vote for us this for 2013 as the Awards are now open.
Whether it is a fundraising project run by a local charity, a group of individuals or a team from a local business, or simply individual members of the public who feel motivated to do something for charity, Guernsey has an exceptional ability to raise money and contribute many man hours to the voluntary and community sector.
