On Monday 4th June we will hold our sixth volunteer induction of 2018 which takes place during the National Volunteers Week.
The induction will take place with GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who will greet the new volunteers and then show a video about who we are, what we do, the ways volunteers can help and an induction of how to help safely to all the new volunteers who need to be aged from 13 years upwards to help with the animals on site.
Guernsey Round Table are delighted to announce that the Guernsey Round Table Harbour Carnival 2018 is being held on Friday 15th June
The Harbour Carnival is a fun-filled family fundraising event in and around St Peter Port Harbour. Events include duck races, dinghy races, paddle board race, tug of war and man powered flight all culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.
For 2018 they're putting the community back into harbour carnival with live music, entertainment and a few other carnival touches!
On Sunday 10th June pop into St Peter Port to support the Arts Seafront Sunday and visit our stall raising funds for animals in Guernsey.
After an amazing Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday last week we will be back in town for another fantastic event.
From 10am until 4pm the sea front will be packed with stalls and things to do with an arts theme.
We are extremely thankful to Arts Seafront Sunday for allowing us to join them once again.
If you can help out on our stall we will be setting up from 7am and will be there until just after 4.30pm.
Le Friquet's Annual Family Fun Day returns on June 23rd 2018!
This FREE event celebrates the start of Summer in style with bouncy castles, live music, face painting, planting workshops and more!
This is always an extremely exciting eventand the GSPCA will& be joining their team to help raise funds for the many animals at the Shelter with our stall with tombolas and games with prizes and GSPCA goods on sale.
On Sunday 17th June please pop along to Saumarez Park to see the GSPCA stall supporting the Annual Classic Vehicle Show Public hosted by Guernsey Classic Vehicle Club LBG.
We are delighted to be able to attend this wonderful event and will have a stall raising funds for the many animals in our care at the GSPCA.
The day starts at 11am and runs all the way through until 5pm.

On June 17th 2018 between 2pm and 5pm by kind permission of Major and Mrs. Phillippi the gardens at Le Vallon, Ruette Fainel, Le Vallon, St. Martin GY4 6DQ will be open to the public.
Parking is available and entry is a minimum donation of £5 which will be in aid of the GSPCA to help the many animals at the Shelter.
Due to the livestock living free range on site we are sorry to say that no dogs (except guide dogs) are allowed.
Refreshments and cakes will be on sale to help enjoy your afternoon in the stunning grounds of Le Vallon in St Martins.
We are overjoyed to report that Temperance is doing exceptionally well and potentially after another few weeks of care will be returned back to the wild.
The injured and very poorly grey seal pup was rescued at Beaucette Marina last November has approximately tripled his weight and has turned into the fastest swimming seal we have ever had so is now in the last stage of his rehabilitation.
Temperance was the thinnest grey seal pup to be rescued by the GSPCA and it has been a long road in his care to get him fit enough to get him to where he is today.
During the May and early June school break next week and through the year we run a series of guided tours at the GSPCA.

This is your opportunity to visit behind the scenes at our Animal Shelter in St Andrews and see the work being carried out.
This Thursday St Martins Primary School students after a series of Epic days will be selling cakes along with drinks this between 130pm and 230pm at on Charity Shop on site at the GSPCA Animal Shelter on Rue des Truchots, St Andrews.
The children from St Martins Primary School enjoyed a tour, helping read to the animals, make fresh feeders for them, are helping with our conservation work around site today and finish their 4th day at the Shelter selling cakes to raise funds for the animals in our care.
