We would like to say a huge thank you to Sandra Bishop who kindly donated a number of items to help us in our new multi purpose animal welfare building.
Yesterday we received a package at the Shelter and when opened it contained a number of window squeeges and a tay scratcher toy.
We are very excited to be moving into our new Multi Purpose Animal Welfare Building and we now need to kit the facility out with equipment and items to help care for the animals that will be housed within the facility.
Last night we had our US Thanks Giving and Christmas Themed Bingo evening at the Market Bistro.
From great Christmas jumpers to a decorated room set for Thanks Giving the fifth and final bingo night of 2014 at the Market Bistro was held.
We had another great turn out inside the Market Building and the team at the Market Bistro provided excellent service and wonderful food.
The evening started at 7pm with four games of bingo where instead of shouting 'line' or 'house' they were asked to call out 'USA'.
Thank you to those involved and supported the Sarnia Cherie Pug Garden Party on Sunday.
The funds raised were helping Pug Welfare and volunteers also helped run fund raising games for the GSPCA.
£111 was raised for the Animal Shelter which we are hugely grateful to all involved.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "From all the team and animals at the GSPCA we would like to thank Mim Sarre and her team of helpers who organised a lovely afternoon last Sunday and raised a fantastic £111 for animals in Guernsey."
Yesterday GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne was asked to pop along to Situations Recruitment to meet Directors Jenny Mitchell and Melissa Campbell.
Not knowing the reason why Steve made his way in the wind and rain to their office near Market Square.
Lamar would like to thank the very kind person that has provided him with his cat grass from our Wish List.
We have had another fantastic week of gifts from waterproof cameras to take pictures of the animals to meal worms for the hedgehogs and birds.
After an operation to remove a lump from his throat and an overnight stay Nouska the Husky is back at the Animal Shelter and doing well.
The lump which was found after Nouska was signed over to the Shelter has now been removed and he is on pain relief, antibiotics and a special food to help his recovery.
We have sent the lump away to be diagnosed and will hopefully no longer cause Nouska and more issues.
