Last week during half term we ran a series of guided tours that proved so popular additional tours had to be added.
Every tour was a sell out and on Thursday and Friday due to demand we doubled up with over 40 attending each day.
The groups got to see Slovakian puppies to kittens, chicks to hoglets, tortoise to bunnies and much more.
During the school breaks we run a series of guided tours at the GSPCA and we have now planned for 2016 with some special tours for the children.
This year the GSPCA attended every Seafront Sunday with a stall.
To run the GSPCA and care for the 1000's of animals we help every year costs £2000 a day and we are always looking for ways to raise the much needed funds to care and rescue those in need.
Last Sunday was the last of the 8 Seafront Sundays and we would like to thank the organisors of the other 7 for allowing us to bring a stall to raise the funds and talk to the community and visitors about our work, how they can help and the animals in need of homes.
All this week during half term break we have been running a series of guided tours at the GSPCA.
This is your opportunity to visit behind the scenes at our Animal Shelter in St Andrews and see the work being carried out for the new build.
We are arranging guided tours on a series of dates at 2pm.
We ask for a minimum donation of £5 per person and £3 per child, or £15 for a family of four.
The tours take around 80 minutes and you get to see in many of the departments and a variety of species.
Last night 23 young boys and girls from the 4th Guernsey Beavers visited the GSPCA to see behind the scenes at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews.
On a sunny evening they arrived for a 6pm tour with GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who took a group photo of the troop before showing them around the site where they got to see baby birds being fed, hedgehogs, bunnies, our resident tortoise, a puppy and much more.
They learnt how we care for the animals at the GSPCA and the work that is carried out 24 hours 7 days a week.
