Thank you to Jono and Herm Island for helping care for our trees at the GSPCA

The GSPCA would like to say a huge thank you to Herm Island and Jono Bailey who have recently helped us care for some of our trees on site at the GSPCA.  

Jono is a tree surgeon and from Herm Island we kindly were able to borrow fuel and a chain saw.

Jono lived in Herm for over 20 years and also worked on the stunning and pretty island so many love to visit.

When Herm island heard about the work needing to be done at the GSPCA they wanted to help out and kindly allowed Jono to borrow the chainsaw.  

Jono said "I have always had a soft spot for animals and always wanted to help out at the GSPCA but with travelling and studying I haven't had much free time."

"When Beckie mentioned about the tree work, I was more than delighted to help out as I could use my skills to help the Shelter."

At the GSPCA we asked Jono what his favourite animal is, he replied "Any animal from the mustelid family, but I also loves my pet rabbit Archie, a netherland dwarf cross."

Jono continued "A huge thank you to Herm island for making the above happen regarding the tree work, without them I wouldn't have been able to do the work."

"We are constantly looking for ways to improve our grounds for visitors and wildlife and work very closely with St Andrews Floral Group who have helped transform the grounds on site."

"We have a number of projects we are looking for support with and would love to hear from anyone that could help us with the stunning grounds we have in St Andrews."
