Thank you to the wonderful team at the Medical Specialist Group who helped out at the GSPCA on a very busy day

On Saturday 29th April 7 volunteers from the Medical Specialist Group (MSG) spent the day helping at the GSPCA Animal Shelter in Guernsey.

This is the fourth year in a row the MSG staff have helped at the GSPCA are we are extremely grateful for their help and their support.

The group arrived just after 9am and were giving a quick induction in the morning by GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne before being set to work around the Animal Shelter.

From walking dogs to washing dishes, cleaning hedgehogs to bunnie rabbits the group were split between the staff and volunteers at the GSPCA and they helped around the site.

After a morning of hard work and helping behind the scenes the group were given a guided tour of the Shelter and were told about the work that goes on 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Once again we are hugely grateful to the team from MSG who helped us at the GSPCA on the 29th April."

"The team included Rachel, Hayley, Patjaree, Debbie, Sami, Jon and Leigh many of which have volunteered over the last three years so they with their experience quickly got to work caring for the animals and helping around site."

"Since 2014 an amazing 34 staff have now volunteered from the MSG which have helped in so many ways at the GSPCA."

"The team from MSG help each Spring which is fantastic for us as we are so busy with over 400 animals at present."
