On Thursday the GSPCA welcomed pupils from Vale School for a visit.

Sarah Creasey the Welfare and Education Officer met the students at the front the GSPCA Animal Shelter before showing the children our facilities in St Andrews.

The GSPCA have been based at our current site since 1929 and the children learnt about the animals in our care, the work that is carried out 24 hours a day 7 days a week and about our new build which is more than half way through.

Sarah Creasey Welfare and Education Officer said "It was lovely to meet the pupils from Vale School on Thursday and show them around the GSPCA."

"The GSPCA was founded in 1873 and education since then has been part of our aims and objectives in preventing cruelty and promoting kindness."

"We love to show the children the facilities and work we do here at the GSPCA and the parents and teachers often have as many questions as the children."

"The Vale School pupils were a really nice group and we enjoyed showing them behind the scenes."

"We have lots of schools and groups booked in for visits and if your group or school would like a visit please do get in touch with me."

"During May half term we have a series of guided tours at 2pm each day for £5 per adult, £3 per child or £15 for a family of four and you can book a place by calling 257261 or online."
