On sale at the GSPCA we have a selection of hedgehog food.

Hedgehogs often struggle to find enough food at this time of year with the temperature not low enough for them to hibernate and very few insects about.

Our reception and shop are open 9am until 5pm Monday to Saturday (to see our festive opening hours please click here)

If you would like to help us feed the hedgehogs in our care then here are a few ideas -

  • mealworms
  • squeezable honey
  • Spike Hedgehog Food
  • Cat food (not fish) dry or tinned

We also have on sale a selection of hedgehog houses.

Sarah Ozanne GSPCA Animal Care Assistant said "As its not cold enough for hedgehogs to hibernate many struggle to find food and if you can please help them it can be a huge boost to their survival over these herd times."

"We have nearly 50 hedgehogs in our care at present and see at least one or two every day."

"You can sponsor the hedgehogs in our care and there are many ways to donate as well and we really appreciate your support."

  • Under 4 feet - £45 min. donation
