Oak Trust Guernsey staff making a difference at the GSPCA

On the 3rd November a team of staff from Oak Trust Guernsey gave up an afternoon in the office to help the GSPCA.
Liz Pirouet, Sofie Alves, Karina Aleksandrovica, Mel Alves, Nicola Falla, Tara Gaynor, Laura Stanford, Beth Baker, Sue Simon, Chris Knight, Graham McCormack, Gareth Holden, Joanne Duquemin, Phil Martin, Jessica Russell, Claire Corbett, Monia Black, Javan Isabelle, Darren Rousse, Stuart Kerrigan, Erika Chasey, Steven Saunders, Roger English, David Willis, Nadine Caton, Mark Chasey, Michielle McDonnell & Nick Babbe from Oak Trust Guernsey were a huge help and also with a very kind donation helped improve the Shelter in many ways.
Not only did the team from Oak Trust Guernsey help paint, tidy, weed, garden and with the memorial garden we are redeveloping they also helped fit rubber mats along our walkway to the visitor area for some of the animals in need of homes and our event room.
After an extremely hard days work GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne took the team from Oak Trust Guernsey for a guided tour where they saw many of the 500+ animals at the GSPCA.
Before the group left and after the tour the team got a thank you certificate for all of their hard work.
The work the team helped with is in conjunction with the Going, Going, Gone Wild Project the GSPCA have with St Andrews Floral Group around the GSPCA site helping the wildlife and make the grounds look nice for the many visitors.
The Memorial Garden in particular is an important area at the GSPCA we are improving for those that have been bereaved from the loss of a pet.
We are currently once again appealing for granite to help with the work for this area and anyone that can help please do let us know at the GSPCA.
