Last week a group over 20 EY staff came along to the GSPCA to help with grounds around site at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews for the third year.
There is always so much to do at the GSPCA and the help the team from EY CI gave was a huge boost at what is always an extremely busy time of year.
Tim Pellett GSPCA Community and Training Officer said “It was great to greet, meet and et the lovely team from EY helping around the GSPCA last Thursday.”
“There were staff both locally and 15 flew over from Jersey to help.”
On the 29th May 2 staff from Man Fund Management (Guernsey) Limited attended the GSPCA to give up a day in the office to help with the work around the Shelter.
The day was started with a quick induction followed by a picture at the front of the GSPCA and were then set to work with GSPCA Community and Training Officer Tim Pellett.
Tim said “It was lovely to meet the staff from Man who worked really hard helping in many areas around the GSPCA and with the animals.”
The GSPCA are hugely grateful to Waitrose who once again for their amazing support and help.
In May not only did they spend two days helping us at the GSPCA, they kindly donated a fantastic £560 towards much needed items to help with the work that was carried out.
Both Waitrose stores at Admiral Park and Waitrose Rohais have been hugely supportive to the work of the GSPCA and the many animals in our care.
Over the last week we have had three incredible teams volunteer at the GSPCA from Investec.
In all 13 staff have spent a combined 46 hours helping around the GSPCA in St Andrews.
The first group of 6 helped last Wednesday, a further 2 yesterday and we have had another 5 volunteering this morning.
Each group arrived at 9am and were greeted by GSPCA Community and Training Officer Tim Pellett.
After a quick introduction they very put straight to work, and work they did.
Earlier this month the GSPCA had 26 staff from BachmannHR Group Ltd give up a day in the office to help out at the Shelter.
The fantastic, massive group helped all around the Shelter in many different ways from gardening to painting, with the animals to cleaning.
The group arrived at 9am and were welcomed by GSPCA Community and Training Officer Tim Pellett who after introductions set them to work.
Tim Pellett said “The staff from BachmannHR Group Ltd were fantastic.”
In recognition of “Adopt a Shelter Pet Day” on April 30th, Le Friquet Garden Centre recently sent two members of their team to the GSPCA (Guernsey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) for the day to help out on-site and support their busy operation.
The two members of the garden centre pet department team, Emily Oakes and Isaac Evans, engaged in a number of day to day tasks that the charity carries out for the island including the cleaning of animal housings and walking/grooming resident animals.
Last week the wonderful staff from The Travel Corporation joined the team at the GSPCA.
This is the sixth year in a row team members from The Travel Corporation have helped at the GSPCA and we are incredibly grateful to them.
On Thursday 11th April 5 of their team arrived just after 9am for a full day of hard graft helping out at the GSPCA in St Andrews.
The GSPCA are extremely grateful to Matthew Hale from NGIT who earlier this month helped provide and run Cyber Security training for the staff and volunteers at the GSPCA.
On Friday a third team of 7 HSBC Private Bank staff spent the day helping out at the GSPCA.
Once again the group arrived just after 9am where they were greeted by Tim Pellett GSPCA Community and Training Officer who after a quick safety briefing got them off to work around the site helping clean, tidy, garden, paint and care for the many animals at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews.
7 staff from HSBC Private Bank helped on Monday, 10 on Wednesday taking the total last week to an amazing 24 staff having helped at the GSPCA.
