Today Nouska popped along to the vets for a check up and although we don't have the results of what the lump was yet the vet is pleased with how the operation scar is healing.
Nouska is doing well in himself and we are extremely grateful to everyone that has donated to his appeal.
If you would like to donate to Nouska the Husky's operation and the other animals in need please call 01481 257261, pop into the Shelter in St Andrews or click on the Paypal link below and reference 'Nouska's Appeal'
With the sun shining and a fantastic view nearly 70 Labradors had a fun afternoon at the Bon Port Hotel this weekend.
Organised by Cherry Dewey with her two Labradors being the first to arrive, volunteers helping on the day couldn't believe car after car pulling up with Labradors of all sorts of shapes, sizes and ages.
After an operation to remove a lump from his throat and an overnight stay Nouska the Husky is back at the Animal Shelter and doing well.
The lump which was found after Nouska was signed over to the Shelter has now been removed and he is on pain relief, antibiotics and a special food to help his recovery.
We have sent the lump away to be diagnosed and will hopefully no longer cause Nouska and more issues.
Could you help the GSPCA in helping animals find new homes?
You may already have pets or aren't able to but here is a way that you can help those feathered and furry friends find a new home.
We always have animals looking for new homes and the link below is a link to just a small selection.
Why not place a poster up at your work or local shop and help spread the word of those animals needing new homes in Guernsey.

We are pleased to say that Slygo is settling in very well to his home.

After months of wandering the south cliffs of Guernsey Slygo the stray terrier was safely caught in the early hours of this morning.
The GSPCA has been working with the authorities and other charities to capture the nervous little dog that has been stray since February this year.
We must start by thanking all of the press and public in their support as without the combined help of everyone involved we wouldn't have been able to catch him.
A stray wire haired terrier has been missing for almost 8 weeks and has last been seen in the Forest area.
The GSPCA, Commerce and Employment and local authorities are working together to safely capture the lost little dog.
Unfortunately the small tan wire haired terrier was originally part of a cruelty case in the UK and recently rehomed in Guernsey. As such the dog is extremely nervous and timid, meaning it is fearful of humans.
It has been announced that every dog owner in England will have to microchip their animal by April 2016 to help cut the growing number of strays. The government says owners who refuse to comply with changes to the Animal Welfare Act face fines of up to £500.
In the UK Government figures reveal that more than 100,000 dogs are dumped, stray or lost each year, at a cost of £57m to the taxpayer and welfare charities and organisations.
The Douzaines of five parishes; St Peter Port, Castel, St Saviour, St Pierre du Bois and St Martins have agreed to support the GSPCA’s dog microchipping and registration initiative in 2013 by meeting the initial cost of microchipping through the dog licence fee.
The scheme is entirely voluntary but the Douzaines hope dog owners will avail themselves of this opportunity to ensure their dogs can be easily and quickly identified should they stray or be involved in an accident.
The GSPCA would like to announce that we have a new shower for the dogs at the Shelter.
Thanks to a small contribution from the Pedigree Adoption Drive earlier this year and local businesses supporting the Shelter with the supplies, staff at the GSPCA have constructed a lovely new shower where both the dogs in for boarding and those looking for new homes can be pampered and washed.
