Now very late in the seal pup season the GSPCA thought 4 would be all that would need out help this winter until this weekend.

When Ben joined the team at Isabelle Vets it wasn’t long before each week he would attend the GSPCA for the main vet check days and very quickly a wonderful relationship was established.
Ben with his friendly, helpful and caring nature was a fantastic help not only to the many sick and injured animals, but also to the GSPCA team.

Yesterday the GSPCA team released a female Barn Owl that was rescued on the 3rd December last year.
The bird that has been called Nicki was found injured in the road on L’Ancresse and on arrival the team thought her chances of survival were very slight.
If the finder Nick Fitzgerald hadn’t have rescued the bird she surely wouldn’t still be alive.
The rescuer actually saw Nicki fly into the side of a car which and he thankfully managed to stop and catch the bird and transported her to the GSPCA.
The GSPCA would like to extend a huge thanks to iD Porte Ltd who recently called in to donate 6 new Halo Microchip Scanners which are entirely manufactured locally here in Guernsey and exported all over the world.

Today the team at the GSPCA got to meet 5 of the staff from Moores Hotel.
The reason for their visit was to present the GSPCA with a fabulous £605 donation raised from an event they held on Boxing Day.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager, Gemma Gaudion GSPCA Animal Care Assistant and Harley one of the in for homes dogs greeted the Moores Hotel staff and after a picture and huge thanks Steve took the group for a tour to show them how the funds will help so many animals.
