Thanks once again to the #GuernseyTogether spirit the 2021 Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday will be the tenth and takes place on Sunday 12th September.
We had planned to hold it in May but as with the reasons given for the Liberation Day celebration alterations the GSPCA have taken the decision to move from May to September.
On the 12th September 2021 10am to 4pm the GSPCA will once again be organising a day to celebrate the animals in Guernsey and all the wonderful work that is done to care for them.
We are extremely grateful to all those that made last 9 years such great days and we are hoping this years will be bigger and better.
There will be stalls and fun for all the family - all with an animal theme.
Fancy dress to mascot 5-a-side football, children's games to lots of food, a fun dog show, arts and crafts to charity stalls, some of the GSPCA animals looking for homes, entertainment and so much more........
This years Giant Animal Mascot event is a 5-a-side football match and can be entered as an individual or enter in the team event. All proceeds for this years race will help animals in Guernsey at the GSPCA so you can help support a great local charity, whilst having a lot of fun. The day starts from 10am and will take place along the Sea Front in St Peter Port and there are a variety of events and activities through the day.

Would like a pitch for our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday on the 12th September
We are looking for charities to run stalls representing their organisation showing their involvement with animals or with an animal theme. Also businesses that feel they play a valuable part in animal welfare such as vets. If you have an art and crafts business you are also welcome.

Fun Dog Show
There will be a fun dog show starting at 1230pm with registration from 11am.
This is always a fabulous, fun, highlight and is open to any breed of dog.

Entries are £1 a class. Please enter your dog on the day.
This years judge is the lovely Grace Hodgkinson the recently appointed Deputy States Veterinary Officer
Childrens Animal Fancy Dress
For a bit of fun bring your children with an animal themed fancy dress for a free prize. Just pop along to our stall on the Crown Pier between 11am and 4pm on the day for a free gift.
Giant Animal Mascot 5-a-side football event
Can your team take the trophy off the Plough Inn?
Once again we will be holding a Giant Animal Mascot event but this year there are a big twist.
This is open to mascots and individuals prepared to dress as an animal and play a fun football game with a rather over sized ball.
We are asking businesses, pubs, individuals or anyone as a team of 5 or an individual and we can make extra teams on the day.
Don't worry about what to wear we will provide the Giant Animal Mascot suit and have over 70 available.
To join in the our giant animal 5-a-side football game in Guernsey we are asking you to raise funds for the Shelter, ideally a minimum of £22 per person or £100 for a team of 5.
All the money raised will go towards helping animals in Guernsey.
For businesses wanting to join in we will feature in our next newsletter, on our website and you can put a banner up on the day.
We are welcoming children to dress up in their own suits and also have a game through the day for a donation.

Corporate sponsors and businesses get to choose their suits or if they wish to provide their own it must be an animal and we still require the application form completed with the minimum sponsorship.
There are lots of events happening during the Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday from a fun dog show, arts and crafts stalls, live music kids games, food stalls and much more
This is the tenth year the event has taken place and in previous years we have seen Bernard, Daniel the Island FM Donkey and Roary the GFC Lion and over 150 other competitors.
