Volunteer Weekend Wardens to help cover the GSPCA Ambulance needed at the GSPCA - Volunteer Induction Thursday 4th August

The GSPCA have run a Volunteer out of hours warden service for over 40 years and we are very proud of our amazing team that do so much to help 1000's of animals in Guernsey every year.
This role entails driving the GSPCA Ambulance and answering the emergency phone out of hours or on the weekend to respond to the varied calls that come in all times of the day and night.
From helping reunite stray dogs to catching baby birds, containing cows in the road to checking reports of injured seals you never know what a call may entail.
We are currently looking to recruit additional volunteers to help with this essential service on the weekends and occasionally help in the week.
We are looking for volunteers that can drive with a passion for helping animals in Guernsey.
The times we are looking for volunteers to help rescue animals are between 8am and 6pm on a Saturday, 6pm Saturday until 8am Sunday morning and 8am to 6pm on a Sunday.
To start we ask you to attend a volunteer induction and the next is on Thursday 4th August at 6.30pm please just come along and from there additional training is given to be able to carry out this very rewarding and often challenging role.
For example last night Volunteer Warden Dave Brook helped a young sparrow at the Bowl, 2 ducklings, a young pigeon, a stray dog and checked out a goose at L'Eree, although there are evenings with no calls at all.
