We are appealing for donations of bric-a-brac, tomdola prizes, raffle prizes and more importantly gifts for the Shelter animals for their Christmas presents.
On Saturday 17th December between 11am and 3.30pm we are holding a small Christmas Fayre at the Animal Shelter. We need your help to fill the stalls so that we can give the animals in our care a wonderful Christmas through the money it will raise.
Come join us on Saturday 17th December at the Animal Shelter for a small get together and get your pets their Christmas presents, some stocking fillers and a bite to eat and a drink.
Have a coffee and a cake,
Meet Santa and Bernard,
Pick up toys, pet supplies, GSPCA goods, calendars, animal stockings, bric-a-brac and much more.....
Get your gift certificates,
Have a go on the tomboloa,
You will get a chance to meet some very special animals at the shelter...........
Thinking of a Christmas Present?
Why not buy a gift that will help the animals of Guernsey.
For only £25 you can purchase a gift certificate that will allow the holder to have a guided tour of the shelter in January as well as a chance to the meet the GSPCA Manager over a hot drink and a cake.
For the first time you will have the chance to see behind the scenes and many of the animals at the shelter. You will also find out about the GSPCA’s plan for 2012 and about the work we have already done.
We would like to thank everyone that helped support us at the recent Christmas Fayre held by the Round Table in Beau Sejour. The event helped raise £540 for the shelter through the tombola, Christmas toys, cards, treats and other animal and GSPCA goods.
A special mention must go to Bryony Nicholls who made some very special cakes, Lorna Prince for organising it and the helpers on the day Jo Fox, Helen Holmes, Yvonne Chavel, Steve Byrne, Richard Chandler, Emma Trousdale, Mika Hooper, Bernard our Mascot and everyone who helped donate for the tombola.
The GSPCA is the only all animal welfare organisation on Guernsey and without the support of the caring public thousands of animals each year would suffer. The GSPCA receives dozens of calls every day and night 365 days a year through our 24 hour phone line.
Recently the phone system that the animal shelter had was getting extremely old and the shelter was concerned that if something wasn't done soon it could fail.
Calling all local musicians, whether groups, choirs, individual vocalists or solo instrumentalists. The GSPCA are looking for those interested in raising funds for the animal shelter and are willing to entertain the crowds in Market Square on the run up to Christmas to please come forward.
From Thursday 8 December until Christmas Eve, the Town Centre Partnership is looking for performers who will entertain the public between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm. We have been informed if anyone is willing to do this for the GSPCA then they would welcome the opportunity.
