Staff at the GSPCA next month will be doing their bit to raise funds for our 141st birthday and what we call GSPCA Purple Week.
Between the 10th and 16th February we'd love to invite everyone to get involved with raising funds for the Shelter with a purple theme.
Shelter staff Helen Holmes, Helen Sharman, Anna Paint, Annie Janes, Lucy Ogier and Sheryl Carre are taking the purple theme to their heads and will be dying their hair purple.
As part of GSPCA Purple Week celebrating 140 years caring for animals in Guernsey we are offering guided tours around the Animal Shelter for a minimum donation of £5 per person tomorrow and next Tuesday.
The tours are approximately 45 minutes long and will include a short visit to see our grey seal pups through one way glass in our wildlife unit as well as the hedgehogs.
Tomorrow is not only Valentines day but also the GSPCA is celebrating 140 years caring for animals in Guernsey.
Since being founded in 1873 we have helped care for, rescue, rehabilitate, reunite, release and rehome hundreds of thousands of animals and birds from domestic to wildlife, farm to working and our core beliefs of education and promoting animal welfare are as strong now as they were all those years ago.
Today is the first day of the GSPCA Purple Week and we'd like to thank all involved so far.
From the Pet Cabin to KPMG, Tangles Hair Salon to Jeffreys Garage, Island FM to the Burea de change the GSPCA wants to thank everyone that is supporting us during this week and helping us to celebrate 140 years.
If you are getting involved then we would love to hear from you please email [email protected] or call 01481 257261
We would like to thank Michelle Champion from The Good Food Group who runs Pelicans at Kings and Fillers in Smith Street for joining the GSPCA Purple Week.
Both Fillers and Pelicans at Kings now have a selection of GSPCA Counter Boxes and if you are passing please pop in to say hello to Michelle and her team and check out the GSPCA goods on offer.
In many of the locations you will see a limited edition GSPCA Pin Badge on a commemorative backing to celebrate our 140th year which are only £2 and if your business, office or school are interested please do get in touch.
All next week during GSPCA Purple Week, a week to celebrate 140 years caring for animals in Guernsey the GSPCA will be holding an event at the Animal Shelter where we have been based since 1929.
