Earlier this week a kestrel was rescued in St Martins near Magnoila Tree Café.
The very poorly bird was barely moving with her head tucked under her wing which was hanging low covered in an oily substance.
The GSPCA rushed her to Isabelle Vets who on x-raying discovered a break as well as needing specialised bathing.

On Saturday 25th May a white and black cat was hit by a car and rushed to the vets.
Amballes as the cat has been named was rescued by the GSPCA Warden on Les Amballes in St Peter Port and sadly has no chip or owner come forward.
The cat has been at the vets since Saturday and requires a huge amount of surgery to survive.
You can donate to her much needed operation by visiting –
On Sunday the GSPCA ran and organised the 8th Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday and what an incredible day it was.
With over 100 stalls, displays, charities, activities and 100s of animals there was a huge amount to do and see celebrating animals in Guernsey.
There were many new attractions and stalls from Crown and Anchor to peddle boats, displays on the problems with plastics and biodiversity, prosseco and Wheedons Gin to Paws for Support and Wag.
This Half Term you can see behind the scenes at the GSPCA.
After another hugely successful Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday where you may have seen the work of the GSPCA show cased on the Seafront this week you can have a guided tour at the GSPCA.

With our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday this coming Sunday we will be back in town very soon after for another fantastic event.
From 10am until 4pm the sea front will be packed with stalls and things to do with an arts theme.
We are extremely thankful to Arts Seafront Sunday for allowing us to join them once again.
With so much going on this Sunday in St Peter Port please make sure its in your diary to come down and celebrate animals in Guernsey.
This is our seventh Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday and we are all very busy with preparations here at the GSPCA.
