The GSPCA always needs a variety of toys, equipment and feed which we occasionally source from Amazon due to the very economical prices, but many of the items you can purchase locally or even from the GSPCA Animal Shelter shop.

If you would like to buy something directly for the GSPCA Animal Shelter from our Amazon Wishlist then please click on the link to Amazon below to find out what we need.

According to a new poll, 6% of British pet owners admit to spending more money on their pets at Christmas than on individual gifts for their family, friends or loved ones.

A further 9% admitted to preferring to spend their time with their pet over their family, friends and loved ones during the festive period.

Nearly 3,000 Brits with pets were interviewed as part of the poll, and were asked who they would be spending Christmas with, and if they considered their pets part of the family.

High Winds due - advice from the GSPCA

Submitted by Steve on 09:21, 11th Dec, 2014 | 0

The GSPCA asks that you think of your animals with the weather bomb due.

Bad weather means it is difficult for hedgehogs and wild birds to feed normally, and young seal pups can easily be separated from their mothers.

Below is some advice on what you can do if you find an injured animal, but please remember we have a 24 hour emergency service and our number is 01481 257261.

If possible, contain the animal before calling - see our capture and boxing advice below.
