On the 24th September we are holding a Fun Family Day, Car Boot Sale and Fun Dog Show at the Mallard Cinema and through the day the GSPCA takes over all 4 screens to show a selection of films which will be of your choice and we need your help.
The films we are aiming to show will be for children and we need you to tell us what films you would like to come along to.
This weekend why not pop to Torteval and support their annual Parish event which draws thousands every year.
With over 60 entries in the Torteval Scarecrow Festival there will be plenty to see and also do at this fantastic annual event.
For the third year, thanks to a GSPCA Torteval volunteer Mr McIntyre the Animal Shelter will be entering our entry 'Glitz, Glamour and Poop'.
A GSPCA team went down earlier today to set up our entry 'Jessie Beagle You've Been Caged' and watch out as you're on camera.

We would like to say a big thank you to the organisors and all of the supporters of the Motor Seafront Sunday last month.
The GSPCA were kindly allowed to take a stall and thanks to Kevin Beausire, Michelle Champion and other helpers we had a great day raising funds for the many animals in our care and talked to many about our work and animals in need of homes.
Last October the GSPCA were involved in rescuing 4 reptiles some of which were so thin they were lucky to still be alive.
After months of care at the GSPCA the owner of the animals attended the Magistrates Court in St Peter Port yesterday.
The animals involved were 2 corn snakes, a royal python and a bearded dragon. When they were rescued it was apparent that they hadn’t been cared for in some time due to the state of the enclosures which were extremely dirty and not appropriate for the animals due to the fittings and lack of provisions.
On Friday early evening around 9pm the GSPCA were called out to attend a very serious incident of 5 ducks alleged to have been hit by a vehicle on Le Grande Maisons Road near to the Rue Sauvage area.
The birds were all sadly found deceased and GSPCA Warden on duty that evening had the sad job of collecting the bodies of the birds and return them to the GSPCA.
Over the last few weeks a young artist from Blanchelande School has been back and forth at the GSPCA to help provide a stunning back drop to our conservation area.
Hemu Khankashi from year 11 has helped provide a stunning mural on a wall facing the pond, picnic area and Poison Garden at the GSPCA.
The building has been a very plain beige for over 60 years and thanks to Hemu it has been brought to life with pictures of wildlife and plants adding to the amazing work that St Andrews Floral Group and so many others have helped with around the GSPCA grounds.
Last week we held our seventh volunteer induction of 2017 and on Tuesday our eighth at the GSPCA and saw a wonderful 14 new helpers keen to learn how they can get involved with us here at the Animal Shelter adding to the 110 inducted this year taking this years inducted volunteers to a total of 124 not including others that have helped from businesses, groups and other organisations.
Last Tuesday from 4pm the GSPCA held a BBQ & Bubbles evening in the sunshine all free of charge to celebrate the reopening of our onsite charity shop.
The shop which is open 7 days a week now has a new floor and look and is staffed 7 days a week and if you would like to help volunteer we have an induction evening at 630pm on Tuesday 11th July and others set later this month.
