Warning when along the Guernsey coast - White oily substance killing seabirds - with the stormy weather please don’t put yourself at risk call the GSPCA on 257261
Every winter the stormy weather often churns up oils and other substances from the sea bed which sadly coat seabirds feathers and cause them to be unable to swim, fly and slowly poison them.
The GSPCA has had a number of rescued oiled seabirds with a wite oily substance and we want to remind all islanders for their own safety the risks in capturing these birds.
