Last week a concerned member of public spotted a trio of Grey Silkies wandering around the Vale Castle area.
The birds were quite nervous and wasn't able to catch them so called in the GSPCA to assist.
Geoff George the GSPCA Animal Collection Officer attended the seen a number of times last week before he finally managed to catch them.
Safe and sound now at the Shelter they are doing well and there is a home already lined up for them.
After the recent news of a car apparently intentionally running over some ducklings this week we would like to remind everyone of the GSPCA cruelty complaint procedure.
With Spring comes many more animals out and about from hedgehogs coming out of hibernation to pet cats enjoying the warmth of the sunshine, ducks with their ducklings to dog walkers making the most of the nice weather.
The GSPCA is appealing for any information after a gorgeous white syrian hamster was left abandoned in a plastic bag in Church Square on Wednesday 2nd November.
The GSPCA were alerted by concerned staff at the Paper Box’ after a cleaner had found the animal left in a small cage tied up in a carrier bag with no food or water.
