Last Friday Gemma Watson and Helen McWilliam from Credit Suisse gave up a day in the office to help out at the GSPCA.
We were pleased to welcome back Credit Suisse staff for the fourth year who are always a great help and support to the team at the Shelter and Helen and Gemma now make it that 3 of their staff have helped so far in 2017 which is hugely appreciated.
Last week we held our ninth volunteer induction of 2017 where we greeted 6 new volunteers keen to help the work of the GSPCA taking this years inducted volunteers to a total of 130 not including others that have helped from businesses, groups and other organisations.

We would like to say a big thank you to the organisors and all of the supporters of the Motor Seafront Sunday last month.
The GSPCA were kindly allowed to take a stall and thanks to Kevin Beausire, Michelle Champion and other helpers we had a great day raising funds for the many animals in our care and talked to many about our work and animals in need of homes.
On Friday early evening around 9pm the GSPCA were called out to attend a very serious incident of 5 ducks alleged to have been hit by a vehicle on Le Grande Maisons Road near to the Rue Sauvage area.
The birds were all sadly found deceased and GSPCA Warden on duty that evening had the sad job of collecting the bodies of the birds and return them to the GSPCA.
Over the last few weeks a young artist from Blanchelande School has been back and forth at the GSPCA to help provide a stunning back drop to our conservation area.
Hemu Khankashi from year 11 has helped provide a stunning mural on a wall facing the pond, picnic area and Poison Garden at the GSPCA.
The building has been a very plain beige for over 60 years and thanks to Hemu it has been brought to life with pictures of wildlife and plants adding to the amazing work that St Andrews Floral Group and so many others have helped with around the GSPCA grounds.
Recently Carrie O'Regan from Island FM popped into the GSPCA with a wonderful donation.
Island FM along with Regency Bedding, Cherry Godfrey and DWA Flooring have helped with some major events this year and not only helped promote them they also helped raise additional funds.
Regency Bedding with Island FM helped organise and run the Easter Eggstravaganze at Rue Mainguy in April and DWA Flooring with Island FM helped with the Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday in May. At both events Island FM brought along the Cherry Godfrey Cash Shower.
