This morning a baby bunny has been rescued with a broken leg.
The young animal was found near Genats Estate in Castel and has just been to the vets to be seen what can be done to help this poor defenceless young rabbit.
GSPCA Ambulance Volunteer Warden Andrew Green rushed the injured bunny to the vets and thankfully despite his injury he has received initial treatment and has received treatments including pain relief.
The GSPCA are appealing for the owner to please call us on 257261 as soon as possible.

Yesterday 5 staff from The Travel Corporation joined the team at the GSPCA and gave up a day in the office to help out.
This is the third time this year team members from The Travel Corporation have helped at the GSPCA and we also had many of their team assist us last year.
Last month we had rescued what we thought was a stray stick insect found in the Villocq area of Castel.
We thought this to be the first stray stick insect we have had on record at the GSPCA and we put out an appeal for anyone who has lost their pet insect to get in touch.
As a result of the appeal we have had contact with those living in the area to say that over the last three years they have spotted the stick insects both in their garden and home of which the picture is one cheeky lady that was spotted in a bedroom in the Villocq area.
Last week a team of 5 from CEPS helped out at the GSPCA with a number of projects.
In 2004, the Social Security Department introduced the Community & Environmental Projects Scheme (CEPS). CEPS provides temporary work and training opportunities for people who are not working due to unemployment or long-term illness. CEPS is managed on behalf of the Social Security Department by States Works and project work is selected with training opportunities in mind so that people learn new skills.
In the last week the new GSPCA entrance has been completed thanks to the aid of a grant from the Christmas Lottery.
The Christmas Lottery and the Association of Guernsey Charities awarded the GSPCA with the funds to enable the works to be carried out which has vastly improved the safety of entering and leaving the GSPCA.
The work was also helped by the fantastic team at DLM Architects.
As keen dog and animal lovers in general the team at DLM were very happy to assist the GSPCA with the planning process to create a safer access to their site in St Andrews.
Due to popular demand at the GSPCA we are holding additional dog and cat first aid courses.

On Thursday evening the GSPCA held a volunteer induction and greeted 11 new faces wanting to help out at the Animal Shelter and 24/7 work that is carried out.
Those present were interested in helping with dog walking to reception, cat pen cleaning to helping with the wildlife, fund raising to volunteering to gain experience for their CV, Duke of Edinburgh and some to help gain life skills.
