If we didn't have volunteers at the GSPCA we couldn't exist, as every day kind individuals give up their own time to help the Animal Shelter and the work that goes on around the clock.
In a very basic calculation volunteers gave up well in excess of 13'000 hours during 2012 which is the same as 300 people working one 40 hour week.
From dog walkers to fund raisers, night wardens to receptionists, gardening to mucking out the GSPCA are grateful to each and every person that gives up their time to help the many animals in our care.
Only one day to go to the big event......
After 2 weeks we caught Slygo earlier this week and to help celebrate and also raise funds for the GSPCA and the many animals in our care we are asking you to join us tomorrow night.

This Christmas at our Pop Up Charity Shop in Smith St and at the Animal Shelter the GSPCA have launched a range of products to help ensure those out in the darker hours are safe.

Even before the coats went on sale 14 were sold to staff and volunteers at the GSPCA for their dogs and they are leading the way in safety when walking their dogs at night or early morning.

They left at 10am on the Wednesday got to their final destination around 3pm.
The Association of Guernsey Charities announced at the end of October that tickets for the 2012 Christmas Lottery went on sale for only £1 each. The GSPCA Animal Shelter can now announce that from tomorrow they will be on sale at the GSPCA reception desk in St Andrews. The traditional lottery always proves to be a popular choice as it offers the chance of winning a large sum of money - and all the proceeds are given to Channel Island charities.
As well as the GSPCA tickets are on sale at shops, stores, supermarkets, garages, and many other outlets around the island.
