Yesterday the BDLMR rescued the second poorly seal pup in Jersey this week.
After a stay at New Era Vets she was transported to Guernsey this morning and is now in an intensive care unit
Geoff George GSPCA Head of Marine Mammals said “Today's 430 am new arrival is Jen or Jem as we’ve nicknamed her is a grey seal pup from Jersey.”
“She is very, very poorly and only 11kg.”
“She's about 2 weeks older than Faulkner who arrived yesterday and is much bigger despite the age difference.”
“We are really worried for her as she is so poorly.”
At the GSPCA we have been helping animals around the clock for over 150 years.
For the last 50 years we have had an incredible team of volunteers that help ensure our Animal Ambulance is manned between 6pm and 8am 7 days a week.
We are currently recruiting for an Animal Ambulance Warden for either Wednesday or Monday nights and if you are interested please call 25721, pop in or email [email protected] .
Early hours of this morning GSPCA Head of Marine Mammals Geoff George patiently waited at Guernsey harbour for a new arrival.
Just after 630am the paper boat arrived with not only the newspapers, but also a young grey seal pup.
