Virtual Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday Becky Rowe Jewellery Sterling Silver ”Luna” Unicorn winner and new donation draw

Submitted by Steve on 21:21, 31st May, 2020 | 0

After hearing of our plea for help with fund raising for GSPCA during the Covid-19 crisis, Becky Rowe Jewellery contacted us offering to donate one of her Sterling Silver ”Luna” Unicorn Pendants.

Throughout April all that donated to GSPCA a minimum of £5.00 were put into a draw.

We had an incredible response with over 700 donations the most we have received in a month and we recently chose a winner at random and that winner was Joanna Rolfe.

Becky Rowe is supporting us once again and this time it is with a Sterling Silver “Gerry” Giraffe charm and chain.

#PetorateToCelebrate to support the GSPCA, the ADCH and animal rescues across the British Isles and Ireland this June

Submitted by Steve on 16:47, 29th May, 2020 | 0

This June animal rescues are asking to you to ‘Petorate’ your garden, front window or car with cuddly toys, animal scarecrows, pet pictures or even your animal ornaments to show your support to the many animal charities battling through the Covid-19 pandemic we all face.

With many of us at home we all need to bring some fun to our community and brighten each others day. Decorating your home, garden or car with toy animals, pictures or ornaments is a fantastic way to show your support to animals in need and bring a smile to passers by.

Last few days to get your entries into our Virtual Pet Show in place of the GSPCA Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday

Submitted by Steve on 17:51, 22nd May, 2020 | 0

Only days left to get your entries into our Virtual Petshow so we can all celebrate animals in Guernsey and our pets past and present. Sadly due to the Coronavirus the GSPCA has had to postpone it's biggest Seafront event and fundraiser of the year until 2021.

Our Seafront Sunday, due to take place on Sunday May 31st is the biggest celebration of animals in Guernsey and raises much needed funds for the Shelter. This money is vital to enable us to continue with all of our essential work with companion animals and wildlife across the Islands.

Submitted by Steve on 16:28, 22nd May, 2020 | 0

With the current challenges we all need cheering up and what better way than sharing an update on an animal happily adopted from the GSPCA.

Hamish was adopted during lock down and here is an update from his owner -

“Just a few photos to show how Hamish has settled in, he has claimed our bedroom window sill as his early morning lookout post, and has a teddy to cuddle into in his bed next to the radiator in our bedroom.

He sits on the sofa between us in the evening watching tv or just under the sofa. He had a play last night with catnip, and seems very happy.

It has been amazing to see such incredible ways supporters of the GSPCA and animals have been inventing all sorts of ways to raise funds for the animals at the GSPCA and the 1000’s we help every year during the Covid-19 pandemic.

9 year old Jake Hardill during lockdown has been kept busy not just with his home schooling but also making home made nest boxes for wild birds which he has been selling to raise funds for the GSPCA.
