GSPCA volunteers once again will be in town for the Late Night Shopping this evening and every Thursday with the run up to Christmas.
This year the GSPCA will be on the Pollet outside Joules with a selection of pet and GSPCA goods.
There will also be the chance to see one or two of our Giant Animal Mascots so please pop along and support us.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'No matter what the weather we will be there as we were last year handing out free lolly pops and getting into the festive spirit.'
The Association of Guernsey Charities announced at the end of October that tickets for the 2012 Christmas Lottery went on sale for only £1 each. The GSPCA Animal Shelter can now announce that from tomorrow they will be on sale at the GSPCA reception desk in St Andrews. The traditional lottery always proves to be a popular choice as it offers the chance of winning a large sum of money - and all the proceeds are given to Channel Island charities.
As well as the GSPCA tickets are on sale at shops, stores, supermarkets, garages, and many other outlets around the island.
The GSPCA is appealing for bottles and prizes for our Tombola Stall that we will have at the the Guernsey Round Table Christmas Fayre will be held at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre from 10 am to 4 pm this weekend on Sunday 18th November 2012.

The GSPCA wanted to remind all pet owners that there is going to be a firework display at the St Martin's Football Club tomorrow evening on the 10th November 2012 and they are planned to start from 6.30pm.
The GSPCA is appealing for feedback on comments regarding how you felt this years firework displays and controls have been. Lorna Prince GSPCA Welfare Manager is on the working party that looks at how fireworks are controlled in Guernsey and she would like your input. Please email comments to [email protected]

Only a week since the GSPCA Amazon Wish List was launched and the Shelter staff and volunteers have been in awe of all of the gifts purchased for the animals and their care.
A HUGE thank you must go to Corporate Risk Solutions, staff from Menzies Aviation, staff from the Heritage Group and also Sandra and Ken James.
These individuals have helped the Shelter purchase additional scales which are vital for weighing animals on entry and during their stay as well as many animal toys and feed for the hundreds in the GSPCA care.
From today the GSPCA are proud to launch a new initiative with the Link Centre at the Animal Shelter in St Andrews.
Every Tuesday up to and including the 18th December between 10.30am and 12pm students and staff from the Link Centre will be running coffee mornings at the GSPCA as part of the students Duke of Edinburgh to help raise funds for the Animal Shelter.
This November why not use this fun month to help raise funds for animals in Guernsey.
Our pets and many animals have fantastic facial hair and this November you could make a real difference to animals lives by looking like them.
