We celebrate our 150 year history this year and we couldn’t do so much without our incredible team of staff, volunteers and supporters.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have never been so busy as we have been in current years and with plans of new builds to meeting every day demands we are currently recruiting for additional team members at the GSPCA.”
“Sadly some of our fantastic staff are off for new adventures and we are looking to recruit those keen to help animals, make a difference and support our community.”
Jen Bradshaw said ‘Three days after the London marathon and I’m still buzzing.
The whole weekend was an amazing experience, full of so many emotions, happy, sad, nerves, joy and so much more.
From the moment I walked in to the Excel to register and collect my race number to the moment I crossed that finish line, I can honestly say, it was worth it and so so much fun.

The GSPCA desperately needs to build a Small Animal Department.
It recent years at the GSPCA we have seen a sharp increase in the numbers of rabbits, small animals, birds and reptiles in need of our help.
This Easter we are appealing for your help to build a Small Animal Department with our Easter Bunny Appeal.
Thankfully we have an area which was our on-site Charity Shop which moved into Smith Street meaning we have a section to develop.
As part of the Easter celebrations and our 150th year we have planned some Easter themed Childrens Art Events and also Easter Educational Guided Tours to see some of the areas of the Animal Shelter, look back at our rich history and the plans for the future.
Childrens Easter Art Event
These are going to be run by two of the most arty team members we have at the GSPCA Sarah Harrison and Karen Lane both who not only have a wealth of knowledge in the arts and creativity, they have a huge range of arty items to help entertain your child.

Last Tuesday many of the artists and sponosrs were invited by Autism Guernsey and the GSPCA to Government House for the Official Launch of the Puffin Parade.
Both Autism Guernsey and GSPCA are extremely grateful to Mrs Cripwell who is the Patron of Autism Guernsey and the Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell CB, CBE who is the Patron of the GSPCA for making all feel so welcome and host what was a wonderful start to the Puffin Parade.

This weekend tens of thousands of us across the Bailiwick of Guernsey could be putting your pet at risk at if you feed your pet chocolate intended for people or they manage to find those carefully hidden from the children, as many of us might be planning our Easter Egg Hunts at home.
Across the Bailiwick we are all stocking up Easter eggs and chocolate as gifts for family and loved ones, but the GSPCA has an important message for pet owners.
